Every member of the University community has an opportunity this
semester to choose the student video that offers the best thank you
to alumni and friends who support St. John’s.
Last semester, a number of students submitted videos to the Capture the Storm: SOS,
Support Our Students scholarship competition in which they
thanked St. John’s alumni and friends for their financial support
and demonstrated how that support directly impacted them.
Now comes the fun part—the voting
period!
For a $5 contribution toward increasing the
scholarship award, the faculty, administrators, alumni, fellow
students, parents, and friends are invited to vote for their
favorite videos up to five times a day. Ultimately, the student who
wins the scholarship will receive $2,500, plus an
additional $5 for every unique voter who
registers.
The voting period will run through Monday, April
22. The more people who vote, the greater the scholarship
prize will be for the winner, so spread the
word.
