Athletic Field House Construction

Field House Construction Gains Momentum

Workers have begun laying the foundations for the latest phase in St. John’s University’s Master Plan – construction of the spacious new Athletic Field House.

Assembling wood forms and pouring concrete inside, workers began construction in October. When the project is complete next year, the two-story, 38,000-square-foot facility will command the site adjacent to Carnesecca Arena, the historic center of Red Storm athletics. The field house will include four full-size basketball courts, office and meeting space; audio-visual rooms for varsity teams; locker rooms; weight and medical training rooms; and study space for student athletes.

You can watch as the Athletic Field House takes shape by viewing these special Web Cams. We hope you enjoy witnessing the construction of this important new campus facility.
