- Right Click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive.
- When the Map Network Drive box appears:
a. Select the letter H: for the name of the Drive.
b. For Folder name you will need to know the network path to your
home directory (you will need to contact the labs and ask there, or
login into a Lab PC and open My Computer) type in the path.
c. When done, press Finish and you will be prompted to enter your
username and password.
- Entering your credentials
a. Username = D_QMST_01\username e.g.- D_QMST_01\asmit123
b. Password- Is the password you use to log into a computer in the
St. John’s Computer Labs.
c.Make sure to check the “Remember my password” checkbox so that
you do not have to enter your credentials in the future.
- Once you have entered your username your drive will now be
mapped to your computer. To locate it go to my computer and under
the heading network drives your H: should appear, under the name
“Username on ‘servername\path’ (H:).
Note
This will only work when you are connected to the Internet through
St. Johns. You will not be able to connect to your H: drive from
your home.
