Executive Vice President for Mission and
Branch CampusesRev. Michael J. Carroll, C.M. was born and raised in
Philadelphia, PA. He attended St. Joseph’s College in
Princeton and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Niagara
University. He was ordained in 1977 with a Master’s in
Divinity and Theology from Mary Immaculate Seminary and
subsequently received a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola
University of Chicago.
Following ordination he had various assignments, including
Director of Students at St. Joseph’s Preparatory Seminar in
Princeton, NJ., School Minister at Archbishop Wood High School for
Boys in Warminster, Pa, Rector of Vincentian House, College
Seminary of the Vincentian Father in Ozone Park, NY, President of
St. Joseph’s Preparatory Seminary, Princeton, NJ, Vice
President for Campus Ministry at St. Johns University, Vice
President, Rome Campus of St. John’s University and Executive Vice
President for Student Services at St. John’s University.
Presently Rev. Carroll is the Executive Vice President for
Mission and Branch Campuses. He is a member of the Board of
Trustees for St. John’s Preparatory School, Astoria, NY, the
Seminary of the Immaculate Conception on Long Island, and a member
of the Board of Members for St. John’s Bread & Life, Brooklyn,
NY. He has served on the Boards of the Congregation of the
Mission Eastern Province, Philadelphia, Pa; Central Association of
the Miraculous Medal, Philadelphia, PA, St. Joseph’s Seminary in
Princeton, and Our Lady of Angels Association. For 15
years, he served as religious superior of various Vincentian
Communities, nine of these years at St. John’s University. He
was a member of the Provincial Council of the Congregation of the
Mission from 1995 thru 2004. In January of 2006 Rev. Carroll was
once again asked to serve on the Provincial Council of the
Congregation of the Mission.
