Music, Rides and Sunshine: Students Frolic
on Great Lawn During Spring Fling
Riding a Ferris wheel, bouncing through an inflatable maze
and dancing to the latest music, hundreds of students joined
professors and staff on the Great Lawn of the Queens campus for St.
John’s annual Spring Fling, on Friday, April 28.
Music blared and laughter filled the air as the annual festival
turned the Great Lawn into an amusement park. Presented by the
Student Programming Board, the event featured rides, picture
booths, food, games and other activities.
Spring Fling is St. John’s traditional celebration marking the
end of the spring semester. For students, the festival offers a
brief respite from writing theses and studying for final exams.
The event is one of many activities provided for St. John’s
students throughout the academic year. We invite you to relive this
