Our capacity for responding to student needs, particularly for
financial assistance, would be impossible without the generosity of
many individuals and organizations. Overall, during the 2004-05
academic year, the University’s Division of Institutional
Advancement raised $16,257,993 from 20,570 donors, surpassing
revenue targets in numerous donor categories, including corporate
donations, which totaled $5.8 million, 9% above the anticipated
target.
The past academic year marked the beginning of the final phase
of our historic fund raising effort: The Campaign for St. John’s—Fulfilling the
Dream. At year end, the campaign total was $239 million, just
shy of the quarter-ofa-billion-dollar goal we expect to reach at
the close of 2005-06.
The Special Effort for St.
Thomas More Church came to an official close this year.
Combined gifts and pledge payments totaling $2.6 million for
2004-05 brought the campaign results to $16 million, approximately
$1 million above the target.
