Red Storm Highlights

  • Our athletes continue to shine in our classrooms, too. Sixty-three percent of student-athletes made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, earning a  GPA score of 3.0 or better.
  • Student-athletes contributed more than 1,500 community service hours, while balancing a full schedule of training and competition commitments.
  • Cross-country, volleyball and women’s soccer teams received national academic awards, and the men’s basketball team recorded the highest team GPA in 10 years.
  • The women’s volleyball team made its second NCAA regional appearance and won the BIG EAST Tournament championship.
  • To mark the men’s basketball team’s 100th anniversary, St. John’s Hall of Fame basketball coach Lou Carnesecca rang the New York Stock Exchange closing bell.
  • The men’s baseball team set a record for wins in a season (42) and earned its second straight BIG EAST regular season title.
  • The fencing teams placed in the top five in the nation at the NCAA Championships for the 11th consecutive year.
  • The men’s soccer team logged its 17th consecutive winning campaign.
