Our athletes continue to shine in our classrooms, too. Sixty-three percent of student-athletes made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, earning a GPA score of 3.0 or better.
Student-athletes contributed more than 1,500 community service hours, while balancing a full schedule of training and competition commitments.
Cross-country, volleyball and women’s soccer teams received national academic awards, and the men’s basketball team recorded the highest team GPA in 10 years.
The women’s volleyball team made its second NCAA regional appearance and won the BIG EAST Tournament championship.
To mark the men’s basketball team’s 100th anniversary, St. John’s Hall of Fame basketball coach Lou Carnesecca rang the New York Stock Exchange closing bell.
The men’s baseball team set a record for wins in a season (42) and earned its second straight BIG EAST regular season title.
The fencing teams placed in the top five in the nation at the NCAA Championships for the 11th consecutive year.
The men’s soccer team logged its 17th consecutive winning campaign.
