Founder's Week 2008 - Virtual Pilgrimage of Lourdes and Reception, Queens Campus

January 29, 2008 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
St. Thomas More Church, Queens Campus

As we celebrate Founder’s Week 2008, we look to deepen our understanding of the Vincentian mission of St. John’s. This year we celebrate the unity of humankind and our interdependence in the world. During the week, we seek to examine our responsibility to love - “extending our hearts and minds to nurture our own and the other’s good.”

Virtual Pilgrimage of Lourdes and Reception

The Virtual Pilgrimage is an interactive prayer opportunity telling the story of Lourdes and recreating the pilgrimage as if you were in Lourdes for a day. Participants will have the opportunity to touch a rock from the grotto, wash with the authentic water from Lourdes, receive a Eucharistic blessing and experience the rosary procession.

Fr. Pere Regis-Marie, the Chaplain from Lourdes and world-renowned authority on St. Bernadette, will be leading the pilgrimage, join him, Marlene Watkins, the co-founder or the North American Volunteers and Campus Ministry.

All are welcome.
