The Founder’s Week Mass and Student Recognition Awards were held
in St. Thomas More Church on the Queens campus on January 25, 2008
where University President Rev. Donald
J. Harrington, C.M. served as the presiding celebrant and Rev.
John Kettelberger, C.M. delivered the homily. The annual event is
part of the University’s special observance of its heritage, and in
opening the service, Fr. Harrington acknowledged the importance of
St. Vincent de
Paul as the founder of the Vincentians and what this has meant
to the foundation of St. John’s.
