Hello and Welcome Accepted Student,
It is a very exciting time for you and we want to welcome you to
St. John’s University, and specifically to Campus Ministry.
As you are getting to know each aspect of the University, we want
you to know that Campus Ministry is focused on you! At St. John’s,
our Campus Ministry team will invite you to get involved in
programs of Vincentian service, leadership and faith
development. Everything that we do builds up the community we
call “the St. John’s family”. This is your chance to make your
college experience meaningful and a once in a lifetime
experiences.
Campus Ministers are here for every student to help you get
settled, to assist you if you need something during your time here,
to encourage you to get involved and to celebrate your great
moments of success throughout your four years! We are here
for all of our students, regardless of your faith, to invite
you to know yourself, your friends and your God in a deeper
way. We are here and become the new mentors for the
next phase of your life – college!
Please review the links on this web site to find out more
information about our Campus Ministers and the programs we run at
St. John’s. If you are on campus for a visit, please stop by
any of our offices to get to know us or ask any questions you may
have. Feel free to e-mail or call if you are not going to be
on campus.
We offer Mass daily at 12:15pm and we have an amazing student
Mass every Sunday at 5:30pm in the St. Thomas More Church on the
Queens campus and at 6 pm in St. Vincent de Paul Chapel on the
Staten Island campus. We invite you to join the community
anytime!
If you are already interested in service, we also have a
terrific service project this April that is open to anyone who is
available to help. Our annual Walk for the Homeless is held
on Good Friday, April 2nd & it is a fundraiser walk for those
in need. This year, all of the proceeds will go to Haiti
Relief. Come be a part of this life changing effort!
We hope that you find your home at St. John’s and in Campus
Ministry. Good luck on your decision and feel free to contact
us if you need anything!
Warmest regards,
The St. John’s University Campus Ministers
