Advisory Council Carrie Epstein, has been provided treatment and developed new programs for children and families impacted by trauma and traumatic grief for nearly 20 years. As the Senior Director of Child Trauma Programs at Safe Horizon, Inc., of New York City, Ms. Epstein oversees the agency’s clinical programs that provide treatment and services to traumatized children and youth.She is also the Director and Principal Investigator of Safe Horizon’s Child Trauma Care Center, a member site of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). Ms. Epstein provides extensive training and consultation throughout the United States on TF-CBT and evidence-based practices. She is a lead faculty and trainer for the NCTSN National Learning Collaborative on TF-CBT, and has served as supervising faculty for the Post Graduate Institute on Interpersonal Violence and Child Trauma, Fordham University School of Social Work. Ms. Epstein has also served as Adjunct Professor at both Columbia University School of Social Work, and New York University School of Social Work. Ms. Epstein has held numerous positions of leadership related to the service needs of children and families affected by trauma, including Co-Director of the NCTSN Childhood Traumatic Grief Committee, Council Memberperson of the Domestic Violence Coordinated Community Response Task Force of New York City, and member of the NCTSN National Steering Committee.
