Gabby Carson, B.A., is a doctoral candidate in Clinical
Psychology at St. John’s University and has been working for
PARTNERS since 2005. She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University
in Psychology. Her professional interests include resilience,
cultural adaptations specific to trauma survivors with both kids
and adults. Her dissertation is focused on risk for PTSD
following trauma for Latino populations in the U.S.A. and is
currently collaborating with Seth Schwartz on a multi-site study of
emerging adulthood. For the Continuum of Care Program she is
carrying out evaluations with the kids from day-treatment at Queens
Children’s Psychiatric Center. Gabby has been instrumental in
implementing the PARTNERS protocol at the inpatient unit Queens
Children’s Psychiatric Center. Gabby is fluent in Spanish and
is interested in policies that influence treatment
dissemination.
