Katharine is a 3rd year clinical psychology student in the child track at St. John's University.  She has been with the Child HELP Partnership since 2010.  She received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities from the University of Chicago. After college, Katharine worked for several years in theater, children's theater, and arts education.  Before coming to the Child HELP Partnership, she worked in the Child Psychiatric Epidemiology Group at the New York State Psychiatric Institute while earning a master's degree in clinical psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.  Katharine's previous research has focused on the effects of after-school activity participation on children, risky sexual behavior in first generation American youth, and discrepancy between child and caregiver reports of trauma symptoms.  Working with the Child HELP Partnership and Project CONNECT, Katharine has enjoyed collaborating with the Queens community to find new ways to bring our services to more members of the community in which we live and work.
