Anna Donnelly currently serves as a member of the University Freshman Center advising team and as Director of the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP).
Having served at the University for close to 22 years, Anna began as a program counselor in the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) and was promoted through the ranks to Associate Director and then to the position of Director in 1994. Anna earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration and a Master of Science in Education from St. John’s University. She is a recipient of the University’s Outstanding Administrator’s Award.
Anna recently completed both a Managerial and Professional Certificate at St. John’s University and has served on various committees such as The Higher Education Opportunity Program Professional Organization (HEOPPO), Strategic Planning Committee for the Division of Special and Opportunity Programs and The Academic Support Services and Student Life Program review committee. In addition, Anna has been appointed Secretary for the HEOP Long Island Region. She has also served as a presenter for various student workshops and Discover New York classes.
Anna takes great pride in helping students achieve academic excellence and to realize their career aspirations, while being true to the University mission and core values.
