Alexis Smith serves as a member of the University Freshmen Center’s advising team.
Alexis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and English from Saint Peter’s College in New Jersey in 2006.
Upon graduation, Alexis served as an academic advisor and counselor for Disability Support Services at Hudson County Community College. Alexis also tutored students in English, taught freshmen a survival skills course and taught a career preparation course for students with disabilities. She enjoyed the experience so much that she decided to continue her career in higher education.
In October 2008, Alexis joined the University Freshmen Center. She is happy to be a member of the St. John’s University administration, and plans on pursuing a graduate degree in English.
