Join us for two free concerts featuring Hugh Blumenfeld.

Hugh Blumenfeld, Ph.D., M.D.
Hugh Blumenfeld is a singer-songwriter who came out of the Greenwich Village folk scene in the 1980s. For nearly two decades he has performed at top folk clubs and festivals across the U.S. and abroad in Europe and Israel. He has released four critically acclaimed albums. A great friend of St. John’s University, Hugh has performed here several times. For this very special event, he will sing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Woody Guthrie.

“When you sing, you pray twice.” -- St. Augustine.

“A Singing Movement is a winning movement.” -- Legendary Folk Singer Pete Seeger

“I want to give Dr. Blumenfeld another round of applause. You were absolutely terrific.” -- AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka
