Originally from Arizona, Jon L Peacock is
a professor of Literature and Composition. He is also a Brooklyn
based writer and actor. Jon earned his BA in Theatre Studies from
Arizona State University, and went on to gain his MFA in Creative
Writing from Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. There he was
trained to teach English at a college level. After completing his
thesis,Wayward (a novel), and graduating with his MFA, Jon
has been teaching at St. John’s University, where he is currently
the sponsor of the Upsilon Omicron chapter of the international
English honor’s society, Sigma Tau Delta. With this organization,
he is also the National Alumni Representative for the 2012-2013
year. In addition to his teaching, Jon has been published as a
co-author for the non-fiction description-based book,OCCUPYING
WALL STREET, and has been acting on stages coast to coast for
