Dorothy Bukay
Coordinator, Institute for Writing Studies
I began working part-time at St. John’s in May 1994 and became a
full-time employee in September 1996. Over the years I have
worked in different offices providing me with a network of contacts
and giving me a broad knowledge of the University that enables me
to assist students, co-workers, and others more fully.
Because of the University’s commitment to “training and
development” I have had the opportunity to attend different
workshops and seminars that provided me with the tools to better
serve the University community.
Outside of work I enjoy reading historical novels and mysteries,
counted cross stitch needlework, and researching & documenting
my family’s ancestry to leave as a legacy for my children.
And there is a little cabin in the woods in western New York where
I find peace, unwind and rejuvenate.
