My name is Alyssa Nardelli. I’m from a town outside of
Poughkeepsie, NY. I am a junior and majoring in Childhood and
Special Education. I have wanted to become a teacher ever since I
walked through the doors on the first day of kindergarten. I want
to make a difference in children’s lives by giving them the
opportunity to learn, grow, and recognize all that they are capable
of achieving. Working at the Writing Center gives me the
opportunity to experience and engage in the power that writing
brings, which is its ability to establish connections between all
and every human being. I love sharing the process of writing with
others and I love being able to be a part of the developing of, not
only the paper, but of the individual’s opinions, feelings, and
beliefs. My goal for every session is for the person I’m working
with to walk away feeling confident and proud about their piece of
work.
