Hi! My name is Devon and I’ve been at the Writing Center
since Fall 2010. I’m a senior BA/MA English student also majoring
in French and with a concentration in Creative Writing. I would
love to add Italian to that list, but alas, there is just no time!
I have thoughts of becoming an editor at a publishing company
someday or possibly teaching English in France. Whether I will
pursue either path, who knows! I have been a competitive
swimmer since I was six years old and one of my favorite feelings
is water flowing past my body and my hair billowing out at my sides
after first jumping in. I am also a swim instructor and if
you catch me after hours of lessons, I might start talking to you
like I'm five, or like you're five; either way, it's like we've
been transported back to the playground. I am a vegetarian and love
my very short red hair. My philosophy toward approaching a session
is to pretend like we're building a recipe together, that we'll add
and omit ingredients along the way, and hopefully by the end, have
created something that you can take away with you and use for
future writing.
