Hey there! My name is Emmanuella. I am a senior, majoring in
Sociology, with a minor in Rhetoric & Public Address. I am
originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), also known
as Congo Kinshasa. This (my country of origin) is mentioned to
indicate that English is not my first, (or second) language.
However, it has managed to become one of the few that I am most
fluent in. Because of this, I view each of my writing center
sessions as an opportunity not only to help someone develop in
their writing at any level, but also to learn something new myself.
I enjoy learning new languages, and currently speak 3 fluently, in
the process of mastering Korean. When I’m not being awesome in the
writing center (not really), I also enjoy reading romance novels,
watching romantic movies, and volunteering with different
