Hi everyone! My name is Jonaki. I’m a senior here at St. John’s
and I’m an English major/Spanish minor. I’ve been working at the
Writing Center for about two years now and I absolutely love it. In
my free time, I love to read, write, and cook (or at least attempt
to). After I graduate, I hope to go on to law school.
During a Writing Center session, my goal is always to make sure
that the writer’s own ideas are coming through. In the beginning, I
tend to ask a lot of questions (maybe too many!) to try and get a
sense of the thoughts the writer wants to communicate to his or her
audience. This initial conversation offers valuable insight that
serves as a guide for the remainder of the session.
