Michael Morettoni

I’m a third year marketing major from Fishkill, New York—a town most famous for its misinterpreted name, temperate deciduous forest, and host of winos. You can find me on campus scrambling to finish homework in the Writing Center, taking too long at the salad bar in Monty’s, and tripping on the uneven pavers in front of the Library. I’m currently the vice president of the Advertising Club and (or have been) a member of the Marketing Club, WSJU Radio Club, WRED TV Club, along with a slew of intramural sports. If you’re a freshman and reading this, join some clubs or play some sports or get a job on campus. Your professors, R.A., freshman advisor, and mom aren’t lying: it’s how you meet people.

I’ve been working at the Writing Center since February 2011 and it has been great since day one. My favorite appointment is when students come in to brainstorm or just talk an assignment out before ever writing anything.  It’s always best to start in the right direction if you can. On the other hand, some of my most fulfilling appointments have been with students who have dedicated hours to their work. Either way, I’d be happy to work with you.
