About Me: I’m a promiscuous reader – at
any one time, I could be reading anywhere between six and twelve
books…simultaneously. I can’t help myself. I think books are
beautiful. In my previous (undergrad) life, I was an Actuarial
Science major with a minor in Creative Writing. I still believe
that there are few things as gorgeous as Mathematical proofs. But
these days I chase books exclusively – as an English grad
student.
On the Writing Center: I believe that
everybody has a story worth telling or a story worth listening to –
so I listen, and as a part of my job, I try to get students’ voices
to ring louder and truer. There are other intricacies to the
writing process, of course, but it all comes down to two rather
simple questions: What do you want to say? How can you say it
clearly? Helping students answer those two questions – that’s what
we consultants are here for.
