It might be a surprise for some to know that my major isn’t English
even though I work at the Writing Center. I’m an accounting
major. This fact doesn’t make me any less qualified. My
different background can sometimes provide a breath of fresh air
during sessions and meetings with other consultants. I also
get a lot from the Center too. Everyone comes in with
different assignments and are on different stages of writing.
I learn a lot from each session, things that will help my future
sessions and improve my own writing.
