IMS: Influence with Impact

St. John’s has a membership with the Institute for Management Studies (IMS). That means that you will now have easy access to a variety of management and professional development topics beyond our standard curriculum. As an added benefit, we will give one complimentary seat for each NYC session, on a first come, first served basis (note: one complimentary seat per person, per year.) See enrollment policy below. Enrollment Policy Note: There is a cost associated with IMS programs. Please ensure your full commitment to attend before enrolling in an IMS program, including your supervisor’s approval and coverage in your absence. IMS retains a minimal number of seats for St. John's University participants, and it is important that anyone who enrolls is committed to attending as there is significant cost to the University for last-minute cancellations. This session will cover high-impact strategies to influence and gain commitment from others effectively. The session will be highly interactive and provide practical tools and techniques to enhance your ability to gain support for your ideas and initiatives. Participants will complete the Influence With Impact self-assessment to better understand which influence tactics they use most frequently. Case studies will provide an opportunity for participants to practice using the key concepts and models before applying them to an on-the-job situation.
