Abstract: The Office of Institutional Research (OIR) provides timely, accurate, and consistent quantitative and qualitative information and analyses to internal and external constituents of the University. It supports St. John’s planning efforts, program reviews, outcomes assessments, and proposals for external funding; assists administrative and academic units in areas such as retention analysis, enrollment projections, and special studies; and initiates and supports the development, administration, and analysis of outcomes related surveys. OIR publishes annual Enrollment Reports and University Fact Books, which serve as reference guides to facilitate planning and decision making efforts and satisfy many ad hoc internal data requests as well as external data requests from governmental agencies and publications.
