Abstract
Geographic Information systems have many uses and are important research tools in many disciplines. In my current project I am using ArcGIS in order to find better ways of analyzing the ever changing landscape around the town of Bova in Southern Calabria. Using the program’s analytic tools and 3D modeling functions I am experimenting with ways to visualize how the current landscape around Bova holds keys to our perceptions of how it is used and how it was used in the past.
