When Professor John Swan, Director of Advertising program, in the Division of Mass Communication, was looking for a well-qualified and industry recognized professor to teach Copywriting, he tapped on the shoulders of George R. Newall. With four Emmys to his credit, Mr. Newall is acknowledged as leader in the advertising industry. His stellar stints at ABC Television, General Foods, Exxon, GlaxoSmithKline, Block Drug, Quaker State, Ford Motor Company, Alka-Seltzer Plus, Purina God Chow, Avis, Borg Warner, BankersTrust, Chemical Bank, Aquafresh, Contac, Tonka Boys, etc. speak volumes for his expertise in the field.
