Dr. Michael A. Dorato is the Vice-President of Global Discovery Services at Covance Laboratories Inc. He joined Covance Laboratories on August 11, 2008 and is responsible for global scientific and administrative leadership of Discovery Services across Covance Laboratories. His office is located in Greenfield, Indiana.

Dr. Dorato received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 1971. He continued on at St. John's University and received his Master of Science degree in Pharmacology in 1973 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pharmacology in 1976. In 2011, he was awarded the Distinguisehd Alumni Medal from St. John's University.

Dr. Dorato is a Diplomat of the American Board of Toxicology. He is a member of Rho Chi, the American College of Toxicology, the Society of Toxicology, the New York Academy of Science, the Drug Information Association, and the organizing committee for the International Conference of Drug Development. He is a Trustee of the Toxicology Education Foundation.

To date, Dr. Dorato has 90 publications and presentations.
