Our Programs

The Center − in affiliation with the Law School’s Institute for Bankruptcy Policy, American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review and other Law School constituents − offers a wide range of interesting and informative programs for students, faculty, alumni and practitioners throughout the year.

Anchoring the Center's offerings is the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition, the only bankruptcy moot court competition and the largest single-site appellate moot court competition in the nation. The 21st Annual Competition and Gala Awards Banquet will take place on March 9-11, 2013.

On September 16, 2011, the Center, the ABI Law Review and the Center for Law and Religion presented their Fall 2011 symposium, Religion and Bankruptcy: Perspectives Thereon and Treatment Therein, which brought together leading bankruptcy experts and thinkers examined both sides of this relationship, religion’s contributions to bankruptcy and its treatment therein.

On October 8, 2010, the Center and the ABI Law Review presented a symposium, The SEC in Bankruptcy: Past, Present and Future, which brought together prominent scholars and practitioners to discuss the SEC's past and present involvement with bankruptcy and to suggest approaches for the future.
