At a  reception and discussion on the future of labor unions, Professor Jack Getman, the Earl E. Sheffield Regents Chair in Law at the University of Texas School of Law, discussed his new book: Restoring the Power of Unions: It Takes A Movement.

June 2-4, 2010
To mark its official opening, on June 2, 2010, the Center hosted a reception in honor of the 75th anniversary of the National Labor Relations Act. The event featured a keynote by The Honorable Wilma Liebman, Chairman of the NLRB, and honored student scholarship recipients from St. John's Law School. The event anchored the Center's co-sponsorship, with the Cornell University ILR School, of NYU Law’s 63rd Annual Conference on Labor on June 3-4, 2010.
