Diana G. Adams is the former
United States Trustee for Region 2 (New York, Connecticut &
Vermont). She was with the Office of the United States
Trustee for almost 17 years and was an Assistant United States
Trustee in the S.D.N.Y. and E.D.N.Y. for 10 years before becoming
Acting United States Trustee in April 2006 and United States
Trustee in June 2007. During her tenure as United States Trustee
she oversaw such cases as In re Lehman Brothers, Inc., In Re
Chrysler, and In re General Motors. Ms. Adams received her
B.A. magna cum laude from Boston University and her J.D. from New
York University School of Law. Ms. Adams was a law clerk for
two years for the Honorable Cecelia H. Goetz. After
completing her clerkship but prior to joining the Office of the
United states Trustee, Ms. Adams was an associate in the bankruptcy
department of a major New York law firm and later was an associate
with a New York bankruptcy boutique where she primarily represented
secured creditors in workouts.
Professor Adams teaches Representing Trustees in Bankruptcy with
Professors Elsaesser and Hildebrand.
