served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice; on
the staff of the Council on Environmental Quality, Executive Office
of the President; and as an Associate in Law at Columbia University
School of Law. He was the chair of the Committee on
International Law of the New York State Bar Association, a member
of the Advisory Committee of Human Rights Watch, and an Official
Observer to the NCCUSL Drafting Committee on the Uniform Foreign
Country Money Judgments Recognition Act. He is currently
co-chair of the Committee on Public International Law and
co-chair of the Publications Committee of the International Law and
Practice Section, New York State Bar Association and a member of
the Section’s Executive Committee. He teaches Civil
Procedure, Conflict of Laws, and International Business
Transactions.
