Melinda Molina joined St. John’s in a two-year appointment as a
Research Professor of Law in 2008. Professor Molina graduated
from Rutgers University School of Law, where she served as an
editor of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal.
After graduation, Professor Molina clerked for Hon. Robert J.
Passero, Superior Court of New Jersey, and then joined the criminal
defense and investigation practice group at Sullivan &
Cromwell. Her practice focused primarily on the
representation of institutions and their senior executives in a
wide variety of criminal and regulatory investigations involving
allegations of accounting fraud, securities fraud, foreign bribery
and obstruction of justice. Professor Molina has taught
courses at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Hunter College
on the sociological, economic, and political experience of Latinos
in the United States. Her research focuses on issues of
criminal justice and Latinos in the law.
