Professor Teresa J. Grogan joined the faculty of
St. John's University
School of Law in December 2008 as a Supervising Attorney
with the Child Advocacy
Clinic. Immediately prior to joining St. John's,
Professor Grogan was a senior attorney with The Children's Law
Center, a not-for-profit law firm that represents
children in various civil and domestic violence proceedings
in New York City Family and Integrated Domestic Violence
(IDV) Courts. She also held the position of Court
Attorney in Kings County Family Court, where she handled matters
concerning juvenile delinquency, status offenses, and other
proceedings concerning juveniles and families. Professor
Grogan has over 20 years experience with civil and criminal
litigation, including three years as an attorney for the Nassau
County Legal Aid Society, and fifteen years in private practice
handling criminal, matrimonial, bankruptcy, and general commercial
litigation.
Professor Grogan is an honors graduate of New York University School
of Law, and also of the University of Missouri at
Kansas City.
