As a law student at St. John's University, Professor Shea was a
St. Thomas More Scholar and Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
Prior to joining the law faculty, Professor Shea was associated
with the New York City firm of Mudge, Rose, Guthrie &
Alexander, primarily in the antitrust area. He was an Assistant
United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York,
Criminal Division, and a Special Agent with the Office of Special
Investigations of the United States Air Force Reserve. He served as
a Senior Attorney and Division General Counsel for Kraft Foods.
Professor Shea has been a frequent lecturer on Evidence at the
annual Seminar for Newly Elected and Appointed Judges, Office of
Court Administration in New York City, and at St. John's Continuing
Legal Education Program. He has served as a Referee for the New
York County Supreme Court. His articles on Antitrust, Evidence, and
Constitutional Law have appeared in St. John's Law Review,
University of Kentucky Law Journal, New York Law School Law Review,
Brooklyn Law Review, The Mississippi Law Journal, The Nassau
Lawyer, New York Law Journal and the Criminal Justice Journal of
the New York State Bar Association. For fifteen years he
served as faculty advisor to the St. John's Moot Court.
Professor Shea is the author of Cases on New York and Federal
Evidence and is a contributing author to Weinstein's Evidence. He
is a member of the American Bar Association and its Section on
Antitrust Law. He teaches Constitutional Law, Constitutional
Theory, and Evidence, and has taught Antitrust Law, Legal Research
and Writing, Contracts and Trial Advocacy.
