Lawyering in the Little Way of St. ThérèseoOf Lisieux with Complete Abandonment and Love

By: Michael A. Scaperlanda

This article explores a profound and wonder-filled mystery.  This is the story of how we—lawyers convening in one of the world’s mega-centers of power—came to study the Science of Divine Love at the school of Marie Françoise Thérèse Martin.  Part I of this article discusses the life and legacy of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.  Parts II and III analyzes the nature of the legal profession and the effect St. Thérèse’s “transformative vision” can have on the everyday practice of law.  Finally, the article’s conclusion urges all laywers to follow St. Thérèse’s message and to live a life of love.
