Here are the instructions that students should
follow when attempting to enter the St. John’s University System
for the 1st time.
Step 1: Login to the University
Information System (UIS) to establish your account and
password.
To log into UIS visit http://apollo.stjohns.edu
Your User ID is either your X-number (capital
'X') or your Social Security number (no dashes).
Your PIN / Password is a 6-digit password
(numbers only). By default this is set to your birth-date
[mmddyy] or the LAST 6 digits of your X-number, UNLESS you have
changed it to a new 6-digit password.
Step 2: Login to St. John's Central
(SJC)
To log into St. John's Central visit www.stjohns.edu/central
Your username is your email address without
"@stjohns.edu". It is in the following format:
firstname.lastname## where '##' represents the 2-digit year of
entry into St. John's University.
Your password is the same as your 6-digit UIS
PIN / Password.
Step 3: Set-up your Live@EDU e-mail
for the 1st time. This process only has to be done
once.
Once you have logged in to St. John's Central
(SJC) click on the e-mail button on the upper right hand
button.
Follow the Instructions in this PDF: http://facpub.stjohns.edu/~sjcontent/LiveEdu/Setup.pdf
Hints:
1. If you are not sure of your email address,
please log into UIS to verify your email address. Once you have
logged into UIS, click on "Personal Information" and then "View
E-mail Addresses". Your school email address should be listed
there. If it is not listed, this means that you are not
currently registered for classes. Only currently registered
students have an email account and can access St. John's
Central.
2. Allow for 5-15 minutes for the password
change on UIS and then log into St. John's Central
(www.stjohns.edu/central).
3. Username for SJC is your email without
"@stjohns.edu" and password is SAME as the UIS 6-digit PIN /
Password.
4. Please do NOT change your PIN more than
once in day.
5. Both UIS and St. John's Central share the
same pin/password.
