Laptop Recommended
Specifications
While owning a laptop is not mandatory almost all incoming
students in fall of 2010 owned one. We support MAC notebooks as
well as PCs. If you are purchasing a notebook computer the
following specs are recommended:
- Windows 7 professional or Windows VISTA Business or Ultimate
editions operating systems ( Limited Support for Windows8, however,
the exam software (exam4) is now available for Windows8
- OS X Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion
- A minimum of 2 GB of memory (4 GB if running Windows8, Windows
7 or VISTA)
- Wireless capability 802.11 a/g.
- An up to date Anti Virus software
- Micrsoft Office 2007 for Windows or 2008 for Mac
St. John’s School of Law is equipped with Cisco 802.11a/g/n
Standard Wireless Access Points. Most notebook computers that are
less than three years old are equipped with wireless devices
capable of connecting to these access points.
