Wireless Access

The Wireless Network Name or "SSID" for the Law Students is  "STJLAW-Student" (without the quotes). You will be prompted for your Active Directory Credentials the first time you connect to this network . If you are running Windows Vista you will also be prompted for the Domain Name for your account which is "D_QMST_01".

The Active Directory  account name consists of your first initial plus the first 4 letters of your last name plus the last 3 numbers of your X number.

For instance, John Smith with the X number of X123456789 will have jsmit789 as his Active Directory login name.

The initial password is Sj + the storm card ID number.

The Wireless Network is fully encrypted and uses the WPA2-Enterprise Security. Please stop by the Information Technology offices in Room 1-11 of the Law Library for assistance.

Please Note: Although the entire St. John's University Campus has wireless coverage, the wireless network in the School of Law is different from that of the rest of the campus. You can have your laptop configured for wireless access outside the School of Law's wireless coverage area at the IT offices or any of the computer labs within St. John's campus.
