The School of Law has the benefit of being on a campus located
in a quiet, safe, inexpensive, and suburban neighborhood in Queens,
about 30 minutes from Manhattan. In an effort to
assist our students with their move to the NYC
area, the Admissions Office maintains a Housing
Newsletter with a listing of local landlords,
realtors, and available listings. While the
School of Law does not endorse any specific property, landlord or
realtor, we do hope our Housing Newsletter
will help jump start your search.
Admitted Students
Admitted students will receive a housing
information e-mail shortly after notification of admission. The
Housing Response Form attached thereto should be completed
and mailed, faxed, or e-mailed back to the Admissions Office
immediately. If you complete your Housing Response Form by
selecting that you would like to be added to the Housing
Newsletter, you will be added to the list of recipients upon
our receipt of the form. You will receive the Housing
Newsletter weekly until the start of the fall semester or until you
notify us you no longer wish to receive it.
If choosing to live off-campus, students should allow ample time
to learn the area, visit several properties, and secure an
apartment. Remember that New York City property tends to
move quickly so you may want to plan a visit to the
area for several days and set up several meetings with
landlords to make the best use of your time. Also, securing a
roommate may be a smart and economical option.
Please see the section on the
Roommate List for information about this option.
Landlords
Please visit the
Landlord page for information about how have your listing
posted in the law school's Housing Newsletter.
