Our Primary Objective
Established in 1913, St. John’s Graduate Division of Arts and Sciences (GDAS) seeks to foster the creative and intellectual growth of faculty and students pursuing advanced studies in select disciplines. Our unique Vincentian/metropolitan environment provides and encourages advanced knowledge thorough mastery of research methods and a spirit of inquiry. Our objectives allow students the advantage of a rigorous yet caring atmosphere that is suitable for creative scholarly development.

Our Resources
St. John’s graduate students have access to a myriad of academic resources – essential to helping students become active and competitive participants in a globally interdependent community. We are equipped with the most up-to-date technological tools to ensure that our students are prepared to greet and embrace today’s increasingly competitive professional world.

Our University libraries are currently home to over 1.5 million texts and 5,000 periodical subscriptions. Students can also currently access a limitless amount of information from our advanced online sources. Access to texts from other universities is also available through inter-library loan.

Applied science students have the additional benefit of our newly renovated Chemistry and Biology laboratories. These facilities were designed to enhance the potential for research and allow students to test the theoretical concepts they learn in class.
