What Does WYP Promote?

The WYP is a multilateral project involving young people from different countries and from different social and cultural backgrounds. Collecting their experiences, they aim to write a "Magna Carta of Values for a New Civilization."

This document will propose possible solutions and actions to foster dialogue among people from allover the world. WYP is open to all young people between 17 and 30 years old, including representatives of organizations and youth movements and people from varied social and cultural backgrounds.

The WYP will promote:

  • The creativity and the ability of young people to express their opinions through artistic expression as well as discussion
  • Greater interethnic and intercultural awareness, deepening their knowledge of culture and country
  • A sense of personal responsibility and a spirit of critical analysis and observation of the social, cultural and political context of each participant’s country
  • Strengthening civil society through a greater awareness of the international context in which participants live
  • Development of a participatory consciousness among young people comparing themselves with other young people from different countries
  • Education for peace through a feeling of mutual cooperation, fraternity and the pursuit of the common good
