Students maintain electronic portfolios to document and share their work. Students complete 240-hour internships under the supervision of faculty and a professional staff member as the internship sponsor. In 2011, students specializing in archival management as part of the Master of Library (MLS) program completed internships at WNYC, a National Public Radio member station; the Hofstra University Archives; the National Museum of American History and Scholastic Books, Inc. Each student also completes a final project relating to their internship or specialized research they have undertaken.
