Welcome to the Department of Communication Sciences and
Disorders of the St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The Department offers academic programs in Speech-Language
Pathology and Audiology. Our mission is to teach students the
principles and skills of our various disciplines so that graduates
will be prepared for further study or professional careers.
The Department derives its strength from two sources: our
faculty and our
facilities. Our experienced faculty members bring academic and
professional expertise to their teaching and research. For students
pursuing studies in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, our
off-campus, state-of-the-art Speech and Hearing Center offers
hands-on clinical experience in providing diagnostic and treatment
services to speech language/hearing impaired children and
adults.
In addition to the Bachelor of Arts
degree program, the department also offers the
Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and the
Doctor of Audiology Program.
