School of Risk Management

Department Overview

The School of Risk Management evolved from the 2001 merger of the 100-year-old College of Insurance and St. John's University. The School of Risk Management now exists as a division of The Tobin College of Business.

The School of Risk Management is located in a self-contained, 10-story campus in Manhattan's financial district at 101 Murray Street (between Greenwich Street and West Street).  In addition to extensive student-life facilities, the campus houses the Center for Professional Education, the Insurance Society of New York (ISNY), the Insurance Hall of Fame (this is an external Web site outside of stjohns.edu) and the world famous Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library.

The campus in Manhattan is also home to the Academic Programs of the School of Risk Mangement.  All of the degree programs offered by the Tobin College of Business are fully accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In addition to being one of only 25% of business schools internationally to hold this prestigious accreditation, the School of Risk Management is a global leader in risk and insurance education.
