The JD/MBA program is a dual degree program for exceptional
students in business and law leading to the Master of Business
Administration (M.B.A.) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees offered by
the Tobin College of Business and the School of Law, respectively.
Its purpose is to prepare students for careers in the areas of
business and law, which require both legal expertise and a
knowledge of the theory and practice of business.
Applicants for admission to this joint degree program must meet
criteria for admission to the School of Law and the Graduate
Division of The Tobin College of Business.
For the first year, students pursue the curriculum in the School
of Law exclusively. During each of the semesters of the second and
third years in the School of Law, students complete a minimum of
three credits toward the M.B.A. degree. Also, during each of the
summers following the first and second years of enrollment in the
School of Law, students complete nine credits toward the M.B.A.
degree.
For further information on this program, an appointment should
be made to meet with an academic advisor. The Tobin
MBA Advisor can be reached at: (718) 990-6267.
