Dr. M. Northrup Buechner
Associate Professor of
Economics
Dr. M. Northrup Buechner is an Associate Professor of Economics
at St. John's University. He received an A.B. in economics from
Lawrence University in 1965, and a Ph.D. in economics from The
University of Virginia in 1971. His fields of specialization are
microeconomics and methodology. He has published articles in
The New York Times, The Objectivist Forum,
The Southern Economic Journal, and other scholarly and
popular publications. He regularly contributes papers to meetings
of professional economists. He was awarded the Teaching Merit Award
of St. John's University in 1974. The 2004-05 academic year marks
his 35th year of teaching at St. John's University.
