Associate Professor of Accounting and Taxation
Associate Professor Michael J. Grego has an M.B.A. degree from St. John's University; his thesis focused on the "Accounting for Business Combinations." He is currently registered as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. He has extensive audit experience with Patrusky and Weinstein, Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte & Touche), and Benjamin C. Kester & Co. (now merged with Grant Thornton & Co.). He was the Controller for G.A. Thompson and Company, a mortgage broker and dealer in GNMA securities.
Professor Grego has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, including three during the 2002-03 academic year and has made seven presentations to professional bodies. Professor Grego has developed several computer-assisted instructional materials and has been instrumental in bringing technology and computer usage to our students. Professor Grego is professionally qualified to teach financial and managerial accounting and auditing courses.
